In 2024, Pfleiderer Polska changed ownership, with the company’s shares acquired by Bogdan and Elżbieta Kaczmarek together with the investment fund Innova Capital.
For nearly 50 years, the company has been one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of wood-based materials for the furniture industry, employing approximately 2,000 people across three production facilities.
The name change from Pfleiderer to Woodeco was a critical moment for the company.
The company had couple of months to update the information on its website. The lack of a new website posed not only a risk of reputational damage but also the legal consequences.
At this point, The Story stepped in.
Our task was not only to build the website from scratch, but also to develop a communication style that would reflect the character of the new brand.
From the very beginning, we knew that the new Woodeco website had to be more than just a corporate showcase. That’s why we chose a High Performance Website - fast, optimized, and built according to SEO best practices. A website that looks as good as it performs: with a clear content structure, intuitive navigation, and full compliance with search engine requirements.
The second challenge was integrating product presentation with the client’s SAP system (PIM). This business-critical solution is complex and difficult to manage. Our goal was to connect it with the website in a way that would give users intuitive access to the product offering without compromising design or performance.
The result is a website that meets all formal requirements while opening a new chapter in the company’s journey under the Woodeco brand.
The Story’s work on Woodeco received two prestigious awards: the German Design Award (GDA) and the iF Design Award, recognizing the quality and innovation of the solution.
Woodeco continues to produce high-quality furniture boards. But today, it tells that story differently - more consciously and in its own unique way.
